coach. Passengers will leave by coach accompanied by the
hostess.
. You will be free
to explore the chateau and the gardens. Since 1970, the
Chateau of Vascoeuil has been associated with major
exhibitions by contemporary artists. Buffet, Ciry, Dali,
Delvaux, Folon, Fernand Léger, Lurçat, Mathieu, Mentor,
Szekely, Cocteau, Trémois, Vasarely and a few others
have been the artists invited to exhibit their work. The
great historian, Jules Michelet, who was the most famous
guest, now has his museum here. A must is his studio,
which has been faithfully reconstructed at the top of
the tower. An exhibition of paintings is permanently on
show in the chateau and, in the gardens, are exhibitions
of sculptures by great names such as Buffet, Dali,
Mathieu, Folon, Delvaux and Cocteau. For lovers of
gardens, the park and its ancient trees punctuate the
exploration with a bucolic note.
