Both tours were terrific! Seeing the David at the Accademia was the highlight of the tour (about 1 hour long). The Uffizi was breathtaking and I only wish the tour started earlier so we could see more of the galleries. Our guide was tremendous and extremely engaging. Even if you are not an art lover this is well worth a visit!

Fabulous museums....the guide to Accademia was ok but the one to Uffizi ( fabio)was excellent( he is a art professor) and exceedingly well read on his subject...do ask for him if u can!

My wife and I went in November 2011 and enjoyed this tour. We definitely enjoyed the Uffizi Gallery more than the Accademia. The main focus of the Accademia tour was the statue of David. That said our tour guide did explain a lot about Michelangelo and how he helped the people who he envisioned as being trapped in the stone to become exposed. She also explained how the paintings prior to the salon housing David were paintings from the people that taught Michelangelo . Outside of David, the most amazing thing in the museum was a separate room housing plaster sculptures from students...one of which showed a child crying on his mother who had just died. The emotion in the face of the child was heart-wrenching.

The tour guide (Fabio) for the Uffizi Gallery was extremely knowledgeable. He brought life to this HUGE museum. He also shared the history of the Medici family and how they used the museum and an underground tunnel to connect to their mansion. It was a great tour packed full of art. It gave enough of a taste to satiate those who are not that into art (like me). Fabio knew his stuff and his English was perfect.

The tour of the galleries was very informative and well planned ,the guides were well informed and organised. It was a good way to see the museums without having to stand in a long line and our children enjoyed it as well.

Outstanding guide! We had visited the Accademia and seen the statue of David during a previous visit, and we had, we thought, the ultimate guide then. But Simona was over-the-top. She showed us things in the Accademia we had not seen before. Her presentation was very educational and seemed effortless.
Simona's tour of the Uffizi not only showed us the incredible artwork the Medici collected, but explained the rationale for the building itself and the intriques of life during Renaissance Florence.

So much better than waiting on the lines....The tour guides were well versed in the history of art in Florence. Enjoyable and educational.

Guides were knowledgable and entertaining! Time spent was perfect to allow for a good overview of the major pieces in each gallery. Earpieces allowed for everyone to hear the guides clearly. Highly recommend!

The tour guide for the Accademia was very informative. The tour started on time and we didn't feel rushed. The guide for the Uffizi was also very informative and passionate about the art. Made the tour very enjoyable. I would highly recommend anyone to use Viator not only for the "skip the line", but for all the information a person received that may not be learned on their own.

Our tour guide in the Uffizi Gallery was outstanding, like being in an art appreciation class with the most knowledgeable and exciting professor. She enhanced the experience and was thoroughly enjoyable. Our guide in the Accademia was also excellent and well versed. This tour exceeded our expectations.
