Take a ride on the Bernina Express, Switzerland's newest Alpine delight. This train journey takes you along one of the most beautiful railway routes in the world which is now a UNESCO world heritage site, through the Bernina Pass to the exclusive resort of St. Moritz, the 'Top of the World'.

Introduction

Your journey starts amid the palms and oleanders of northern Italy in Tirano, taking you over the spiraling viaduct at Brusio and through the Bernina Pass into Engadin, arriving in St. Moritz 2.5 hours later. Along the way you'll pass wild gorges and icy glaciers, crossing soaring bridges and shooting through loop tunnels.

This north-south Alpine crossing offers breathtaking views of stunning scenery as you travel over boldly curved viaducts and through winding tunnels. After your train trip you'll visit the exclusive resort of St. Moritz. You will travel back to Milan in a air-conditioned coach.

Simply spectacular views! Switzerland is perhaps one of the most magnificient countries in the world and the the train ride allows for sights that are utterly breathtaking. Since the weather was cooperating, we were able open the windows in either side of the train and all of the tour passengers were rushing back and forth trying to capture their Kodak moments. Our guide and driver were professional and St. Moritz, our destination proved to be a magnificent and lovely place. Also, visiting the Church in Tirino proved to be special. I would definately recommend this tour to anyone. Worth the money and experience. It was nice that it was snowing in St Moritz when we got there. Wish that we had more time there.

This was a great experience. Everything ran very smoothly and Eddie the tour guide and the bus driver could not have been more helpful. The scenery was breath taking and the stop for refreshments was great. We had a little tour of Bernie and then a lovely meal before continuing on our tour.

I would recommend this trip to anyone and would indeed do it again myself.
