ITINERARY

Day 1 From ROME to NAPLES - POMPEI - SORRENTO
Early morning departure from Rome for Naples, where a short visit of the town is featured. Then on to Pompei, the famous Roman city destroyed by the volcanic eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in 79 a.D. Lunch in a local restaurant, and afterwards, visit of the excavations (approximately 2 hours). Proceed on to SORRENTO. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 2 SORRENTO
Continental breakfast. Day at leisure in Sorrento. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 3 SORRENTO - CAPRI and return to ROME
Continental breakfast . Departure to Capri by steamer. Weather and sea conditions permitting, visit the Blue Grotto. Return to Marina Grande and then transfer to Anacapri. Lunch in a typical restaurant followed by a visit of Augustus' Gardens with a view of the Faraglioni. Return to Rome, at approx. 09.30 p.m.
